Belgium have had a wretched qualifying campaign. Two coaches- RenĂ© Vandereycken and Franky Vercauteren have already put in their papers, and the whole medical staff also resigned after Vercauteren’s departure, claiming that the players acted too big for their boots.

Belgium picked up seven points from their first three games in qualifying, but since then, things have gone downhill. They have lost their last five games, and fell to new lows with a loss to Armenia last month in Yerevan. Dick Advocaat has promised to bring about a change, and fans in Belgium will be hoping that he can succeed where Vandereycken and Vercauteren did not.

Turkey very simply need to win both their remaining qualifiers, and hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina slip up. The Turks are in third spot with 12 points, four behind Bosnia. Fatih Terim’s men drew with the Bosnians last month in Zenica. Belozoglu Emre put them ahead in the fourth minute, but Bosnia equalised through Sejad Salihovic.
